Thank you once again Southern Alberta!

A sincere thank you to all the supporters of our Director of First Impressions in Lethbridge, Cynthia Mansfield, in her MS Walk for the Cure. With all your support she was able to raise $5080.00, an all time personal high. The society was able to raise $174,642.92 and they believe that this year they will be able to hit the $180,000 mark with their final pledges by the 15th of May. The monies that were donated go to help in Multiple Sclerosis research and client services to help those who live daily with MS. Cynthia was one of the top ten individual fundraisers for the 2009 MS Walk and we are very proud of her efforts.
As per the MS Society website (http://www.mssociety.ca/en/events/scwalk/default.htm) “The MS Walk is the Society’s largest event fundraiser. It involves over 60,000 participants and volunteers and takes place in communities from coast-to-coast in the spring and early fall. The Walk is a critical part of the Society’s fundraising efforts and is a significant program in funding research towards a cure for MS.”
This year they were able to surpass last year’s donations which gives hope to all those who this disease has affected. Thank you Southern Alberta, once again you have stepped up to the plate and made this function a success.
