James Nakashima

Personal Biography: I grew up on a farm in Southern Alberta and moved to Lethbridge to go to school at the University of Lethbridge. I joined the YPM team in 2003 as an articling student and became a Chartered Accountant in 2006. The voices in my head told me to keep going with my education, so after completing the CA program I immediately enrolled in the Chartered Business Valuator program. I married Mika in 2008 and we are the proud parents of two cats.
Hobbies/Interests: I have been in karate since 1994 and teach karate in Taber. As an accountant, I am also required to play golf as much as possible. I also enjoy snowboarding and pretending to know how to fix stuff around the house.
Credentials: University of Lethbridge – Bachelor of Management (2003)
Chartered Accountant – (2006)
Strengths: I am a problem solver. I enjoy sitting down and trying to come up with new and unique ways to solve problems that clients are facing. I also specialize in providing sarcasm.
