Personal Biography: I started with YPM in September 1987 at the age of 17. I have always loved numbers and accounting. I love my position with YPM and the team members I work with. Our office has grown significantly over the past few years and I am very proud to be a part of it. I have been married over 20 years to an awesome man and I have four teenage children, daughters Kortnee, Raven and twins Walter and Winona. I have taken several courses for accounting and computer training over the years and always enjoy new challenges. Most of my knowledge comes from hands on training and an awesome team member, Mary Halbert, who since passed away in 2005. I am actively involved in my church and community. I love children and have taught Sunday School for many years. I have two brothers, one sister and six sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. I have lived in Fort Macleod all my life and can’t think of any other place I would call home.
Hobbies/Interests: Scrapbooking, walking, spending time with my dog Newman, shopping, and travelling.
Strengths: My strength is problem solving, I love it. I love to take a problem and figure it out. Probably what sets me a part from my team members is knowledge of YPM and clients over the last 20 years. I love what I do and being able to help my team members understand the numbers and basis of accounting.
Quote: Never give up. A funny story about me would be when I was to cook Turkey Dinner for the first time. I had the turkey unwrapped in the sink and somehow the sink stopper stuck in the bottom of the turkey. Needless to say the sink stopper was cooked with the turkey and found a few days later in the leftovers by my Dad. Well, I have never been asked to cook the turkey again!
