Personal Biography: I was born and raised in the small town of Nanton. Being from a small town all I ever wanted to do was travel, so this became my career plan. I attended college in Lethbridge, taking business and tourism.
I have always loved golfing. I had worked every summer since I was 12 at one golf course or another. My plan after graduating college was to work one last summer at the Waterton Lakes Golf Course and then I was to go to Ireland to start a job in October of that year. I never made to Ireland that fall because I fell in love with the man who is now my husband. We moved to Fort Macleod, as we have family there. We are planning a trip together to Ireland in four years time, but for now we enjoy golfing, waterskiing, and planning vacations! We are planning to go to Boston and New York next fall. Very excited for this one!
With the job market becoming very limited for travel agents, as this is definitely becoming a profession of the past, I took a position at our local bank and found out that I really enjoyed the work. From there I recently started an exciting path with YPM, thanks to Jim and Cass at the Fort Macleod office. I finally feel my search is over. I am very proud to be a part of this firm and feel like I have taken on a second family. I enjoy my work and especially the team members here in Fort Macleod.
Hobbies/Interests: In my spare time I enjoy going to our family cottage in Waterton, where we golf, water-ski, and enjoy family time. I also volunteer as a treasurer with our local Rotary club. I love baseball, playing board games, and painting.
Fun Fact: I am always laughing or joking!
Credentials: Business & Tourism, LCC
Strengths: My greatest strength is the ability to laugh. I'm a people person and love doing my job to the best of my ability. I like to give clients all the help I can as well as growing and developing new skills and new relationships. I love being a part of a team that focuses on nurturing and developing skills with you. All are supportive and the family-like atmosphere really helps you strive to do your best each day. I think what sets me a part is having fun while I work. It makes each day a good one and makes tomorrow an even greater prospect.
Quote: The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both. James A. Michener, attributed
