We are free because......

Remember that you are free today at the cost of others. Remember, that when you go to work today and there are no bombs going off beside you that it was at the cost of a dear friend. Remember, when your kids go to school to day and come safe that it was at the cost of a mother. Remember, when you sit at to eat supper tonight with your loved ones it was at the cost of a father. Remember when you settle in your bed and you are greeted with silence that it was the cost of a nation.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Today, we still are losing our brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers to the battle of freedom. Remember them, pray for them; for their safety, their return home and for the cause that they give their lives.
