Nicole Higginson and Jordana Kohn the two well-known and respected veteran singers and actors are organizing “Just Cuz,” a musical cabaret to raise funds for the Kidney Foundation.
The second edition of the fundraiser will run Friday and Saturday at the Sterndale Bennett Theatre. Both evenings start off with a silent auction and mingling at 7 p.m. followed by a performance at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available at the Ticket Centre, 403-329-7328.
The fundraiser is a personal one for both performers who have kidney disease in their families. Higginson’s cousin, a mother of two young children in Pincher Creek, will receive a kidney transplant from her husband Wednesday. Higginson herself has dealt with kidney problems while Kohn’s mother Linda also has her own battles with kidney-related issues.
So come support a good cause and enjoy the entertainment.
