It seems most of us are using Facebook and other social media sites as our main source of communication. Doug White from Robert Half International writes “As more people embrace Facebook and other social media websites for business purposes, the already fine line between what’s professional and what’s personal continues to blur. It can be difficult to determine which work-related contacts to connect with and what content to share.” His article on Yahoo Hotjobs entitled Facebook Tips for Working Professionals offers some great advice on this popular topic.
We are thrilled to announce that all 6 of our UE writers received word today that they have passed the Uniform Final Exam and will be presented with their Chartered Accountant designation in January. Upstream Academy’s LeaderSkills presentations are held many times thoughout the year. These presentations and discussion forums focus on a wide variety of current leadership topics. All of our Supervisors, Managers and Partners participate in the PKF Leadership Progression Programs. PKF North American Network provides this series of learning opportunities sequenced to provide cutting-edge leadership and management skills training. These programs bring together a variety of trainers, consultants, counselors, and industry specialists to provide an integrated approach to leadership development. Leadership Progression courses include LP I: Leading Engagements, LP II: Leading People, LP III: Leading Through Managing, LP IV: Leadership Development Program, LP V: Leadership Development Graduate Program, and LP VI: Executive Leadership Series.
